Qualifications
The Trade Honours Program will cover a range of skills in the area of Trade/Business that promotes competency-based training. A number of competencies will be drawn from a range of Training Packages, considering that students are often required to undertake a range of tasks covered by different training packages.
Successful completion of the Trade Honours Program will enable graduates to:
- provide high level technical and planning advice
- determine risk factors and implement risk management strategies across a range of varied new business ventures
- utilise and integrate market research and business planning strategies
It is proposed that the qualification will be developed, in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) guidelines. By providing a structure of generic core competencies, the 50% elective components which can be focussed to any trade or enterprise, covers the smaller trade areas or enterprises which slip through the gap in current training packages.
